Background:

At initio, Leily is excited to leverage her previous experience to support innovators and members of the community with their corporate needs.

Leily holds a BCom from the University of British Columbia, specializing in Marketing and has over 10 years of experience in the startup ecosystem and technology space. Prior to law school, she worked with 15 startups in various capacities as a team member, advisor, and investor. Notably, she worked alongside the Head of Growth of a Series A health-tech startup to build their marketing strategy and operations from the ground up. Her most recent position was with a leading data and AI unicorn based in San Francisco.

Leily is interested in the evolving world of technology and the legal implications that come with it. The past two summers, Leily has worked with the emerging and high growth company teams of two national law firms. Aside from gaining key skills and foundational knowledge, these experiences have given her insights into the legal side of startup ecosystems that will help her at initio. 

Outside of work and school, Leily enjoys watching movies, crocheting, and playing racquet sports.
