Background:

At initio, Ashoke is passionate about supporting clients working at the intersection of environmental sustainability, social impact, and innovation. As a clinical student, he is committed to providing accessible legal services to startups, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations, with a focus on regulatory compliance, environmental considerations, intellectual property, and strategic business development. He brings a thoughtful, systems-oriented approach to helping clients navigate complex legal and operational challenges.

With a background in environmental studies from the University of Waterloo, specializing in impact assessment and ecological restoration and rehabilitation, Ashoke offers a unique interdisciplinary perspective. Prior to law school, he worked as an Environmental Advisor with the RCMP and has since founded clean tech ventures, developed his own intellectual property, and collaborated with national NGOs across Canada. Through these experiences, he has developed strong skills in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and supporting impact-driven initiatives.

Outside of work and school, Ashoke enjoys teaching spin classes at R-studios and staying active in his community.
